At the heart of SPPS Design Studio, the work of Vincent Dion Stringer creator of Shanaynae Picasso / Picasso Shanaynae emerges not from trend, but from transformation. The journey began in 2023, not in a studio, but in the body. A decisive act to reclaim health from diabetes led to an 81-pound weight loss and a profound physical shift. Ten waist sizes disappeared. A life once carried in fabric no longer fit.

But those garments were not discarded.

They held memory. Effort. Identity.

Among them, a pair of black denim jeans became the turning point. Drawn to their structure and the quiet architecture of their pockets, the designer began to deconstruct them by hand. What followed was not simply experimentation, but discovery. Through study, intuition, and self-taught technique, the first crossbody bag was born.

This moment marked the beginning of Phataz Bags.

What began as a personal act of reinvention soon revealed itself as a deeper creative language. One shaped not only by transformation, but by survival.

The designer is a cancer survivor.
In 2024, a near-fatal fall resulted in reconstructive spinal fusion, demanding both physical and spiritual rebuilding.

These experiences are not separate from the work. They are embedded within it.

Each design reflects an intimate understanding of structure, fragility, resilience, and reconstruction. The act of taking apart and rebuilding materials mirrors a lived reality: that what has been broken can be reimagined with intention and strength.

From this foundation, SPPS Design Studio was born.
